How the Awards Work

From the moment you enter to the night you're celebrated - here's what the Altitude Awards journey actually looks like.

This Isn't Just About Winning.

The Altitude Awards exist because too many women do extraordinary things and never get the recognition they deserve.

We built these awards to change that.

For 14 years, the Altitude Awards have shone a light on women who are building businesses, leading communities, and creating impact - quietly, consistently, and often without applause. Entering isn't about ego. It's about being seen. It's about giving the women in your world permission to back themselves. And it's about adding your story to a 14-year record of women who showed up and said: I've done something worth recognising.

Whether you win, become a finalist, or enter and learn - this process changes things.

Your Entry is the Beginning, Not the End

Unlike many awards programs, we don't take your entry and disappear. From the moment you enter, you get access to a toolkit designed to help you put your best story forward - and share it widely, whatever the outcome.

What you'll receive:

  • The judges guide - Understand exactly what our judges are looking for. Frame your submission for maximum impact before you write a single word.

  • Submission Tips & Resources - Practical guidance on how to tell your story clearly and compellingly - written specifically for Altitude Awards entrants.

  • Webinars for Entrants - Live and recorded webinars walking you through the process, answering questions, and helping you strengthen your entry.

  • A Branded Content Pack - Graphics, social media tiles, and visual assets for your website and social channels - whether you're a finalist or not. "I've entered the Altitude Awards" is worth sharing.

  • PR an Media Templates - Ready-to-use templates to pitch your story to local media, industry publications, and your own networks.

We're not just handing you an entry form. We're beside you - helping you be seen.

The Judging Process

Every entry is reviewed by a panel of five experienced judges - business leaders, community figures, and industry professionals who volunteer their time because they believe in what these awards stand for.

Innovation

Have you done something differently? Created something new? Solved a problem in a way others hadn't thought of?

Impact

What difference have you made - to your clients, your community, your industry?

Leadership

How do you show up for others? What does your influence look like in practice?

Resilience

What have you navigated, overcome, or pushed through to get where you are?

Confidentiality:

Every judge signs a confidentiality agreement before reviewing a single entry. All submissions are treated with the strictest confidence.

If a judge has any personal or professional relationship with an entrant - they are immediately excused. Another panel member steps in. Your story is safe. Your entry is fair.

Opportunity to promote your business in the goodie bag or donate to our raffle fundraiser on the night for charity.

Every finalist is celebrated on the night, not just the winners. Because we know that the act of entering, of telling your story, of putting your hand up - that takes courage. And courage deserves recognition.
